Jonathan Carney comes from a unique musical family background. As all
six members of his family graduated from the Juilliard School in New York,
music was a constant influence from an early age. After leaving Juilliard,
where he studied from the age of eight with Christine Dethier and Ivan
Galamian, Jonathan moved to England on a Leverhulme Fellowship Award
and continued his studies at the Royal College of Music in London. He
performs frequently at contemporary music festivals throughout the world,
and is frequently heard on the BBC.
One of Britain’s leading pianists, Ronan O’Hora has performed extensively in
every major country in Europe and the US, performing with such orchestras
as the London Philharmonic, Royal Philharmonic, BBC Symphony, Academy
of St. Martin in the Fields, and Netherlands Radio Chamber Orchestra. His
performances have been broadcast many times on television and radio,
including a televised recital at the Chopin Society in Warsaw, a performance
of Beethoven’s Fourth Piano Concerto with the Netherlands Radio
Symphony Orchestra for the Dutch TV series Young Artists on the Concert
Platform, two televised concerts of Mozart’s chamber music for BBC TV,
andcountless performances with the BBC Radio 3.
